Senior Forum

A Seniors' Forum in our parish is a ministry dedicated to parishioners aged 60 and above. It provides a welcoming community designed to enrich the spiritual, social, and physical well-being of older adults.

Men's Forum

Women's Forum

The Women’s Forum is a parish ministry that promotes spiritual growth, fellowship, and service among women. Inspired by Mother Mary, it provides opportunities for prayer, faith formation, family support, and community outreach.

Youth Forum

The Youth Forum is a ministry that brings together young Catholics to grow in faith, leadership, and community while preserving Syro-Malabar traditions. It provides opportunities for spiritual formation, fellowship, and service.

Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the priest and deacon during the Holy Qurbana, serving with reverence and dedication. In the Syro-Malabar tradition, they symbolize the angels who assist in heavenly worship and help enhance the dignity and solemnity of the liturgy.

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist during processions, offertory, and liturgical celebrations.

Carry the cross, candles, incense, and liturgical books.

Help prepare the altar and sacred vessels before and after Holy Qurbana.

Support the clergy during various rituals and prayers.

Membership & Formation

The ministry is open to boys and girls who have received First Holy Communion. Through regular training, altar servers learn the traditions, prayers, and liturgical practices of the Syro-Malabar Church while growing in faith, discipline, and service.

Marian Group

The Marian Group is a parish ministry dedicated to fostering devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through prayer, faith formation, and service. It provides a supportive community where women and mothers grow spiritually while strengthening family and parish life.

Rosary, Eucharistic Adoration, and Marian devotions.

Spiritual support and fellowship for women and families.

Outreach to the sick, charitable works, and parish service.

Promoting devotion to Mother Mary and preserving Syro-Malabar traditions.

Choir Ministry

The Choir Ministry is an essential part of the Syro-Malabar liturgy, leading the congregation in prayer and song during the Holy Qurbana and other sacred celebrations. Through traditional Syriac chants, Malayalam hymns, and sacred music, the choir enhances worship and helps preserve the rich musical heritage of the Church.

Encourage participation across all age groups through adult, youth, and children's choirs.

4Life Ministry

The 4Life Ministry is the official pro-life initiative of the ⁠St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago, which oversees parishes and missions across the United States. The ministry is dedicated to protecting human life from conception to natural death through education, advocacy, and spiritual engagementAdd a description.

Key Initiatives and ActivitiesMarch for Life: The ministry actively mobilizes members to participate in pro-life marches, including the National March for Life in Washington, D.C. Life Sunday: The eparchy observes Life Sunday to promote a culture of life through dedicated awareness campaigns.

Faith Formation: The ministry provides tailored study and educational materials for CCD/Faith Formation classes, helping children and teens understand Catholic pro-life teachings.
